American Heart Association Online Classes & Skills Test

AHA Online Classes

The American Heart Association has online classes for basic and advanced life-saving skills for healthcare workers and others. You can learn at your own pace online and then do a skills test in person. These online classes have interactive learning, videos, quizzes, practice activities, and a final test. How long it takes depends on the class and how fast you learn, usually between 2 to 10 hours.

Skills Test at an AHA Approves Training Center

After finishing the online part, you’ll need to pass a hands-on test at a place the AHA approves. They have many places in Northern Virginia to make it easy. Once you pass both parts, you get a certificate that’s good for two years, which you can download and print right away. To arrange your skills test after the online part, just call their office to find out when and where you can do it.

Students can now find either the HeartCode® BLSHeartCode® ACLS, or HeartCode® PALS course via the AHA website.  You will be taken to the AHA’s website to complete the online class purchase.
